Back troubles? You may have weak glutes

It has been found that a lot of people who have lower back pain in fact have strong backs, but weak glutes! You need your glute muscles to fire to do the work they are supposed to do instead of over working the lower back muscles.
Sure things like swings, lunges, squats and deadlifts are all great for the legs.
However there are some specific glute exercises such as hip thrusters and bridging that are top notch at strengthening these muscles, not to mention make them look fantastic.
There is a guy out there on the internet who has made it his life's mission to help people get a strong back side. His name is Bret Contreras, and is know as the 'Glute Guy.'
His site is www.bretcontreras.com and is full of info to get a strong and firm booty!
You can look all around his site, but here is one article I found particularly interesting and full of VERY useful info:

Thanks to Bruce for bringing up the Glute Guy. I've been meaning to post about him for a while now.

His site has so much info on glutes - there's more to know about the butt that I ever thought possible. LOL.

Remember - do what you've always done, get what you've always got. So make some changes to your training to see some results - and he's got plenty of booty advice.

The most surprising thing I found out by reading through his site is that there are half a dozen exercises that will make your butt sore, but not necessarily work it out correctly. There are a half a dozen other exercises that will not make your butt very sore, but activates  the glute muscles over 50% more. Who knew?!?!
