"To feel well, We must eat well"...Dr. Tina Jones

Here are some more great recipes. Even I can cook them!

Remember - exercise can be great tool to aid in weight loss, but it is actually more effective at preventing you from putting weight on than taking it off.
In order to lose weight you HAVE to change your diet habits. Eat whole, real, unprocessed foods and your body will love you for it.

Enjoy.

Healthy Fried Rice

I start by making the rice first. I make REAL rice – not the minute rice, so it takes about 45-60 minutes to cook. But all you have to do is throw it in a pot and let it simmer.
(I make 1 cup of rice to feed 2).

Then I make the veggies.

Put 2 TB olive oil in a skillet.
Add in diced onion, carrots, peppers, and let them cook til browned.

Then add in 2 eggs, and scramble them up with the veggies.
Add in rice, 1/4 cup water, and 1 TB soy sauce (I use a wheat free organic one).
Cover and let simmer 5-7 minutes.

You can always add in broccoli, peas, or chicken or shrimp as well.

Delicious!

Home made granola

Now I love cereal – but cereral is SO processed and full of sugar, salt, etc, etc. and I just don’t want to put that in my body. But I did not want to give up cereal. So I make this instead. Seriously yummy! And EASY.

3 cups rolled oats (not instant)
1/4 cup chopped almonds
2 TB pumpkin seeds
1 TB flax seeds
Pinch of sea salt
As much cinnamon as you like

Mix all together

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup 100% apple juice
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup honey

Mix this all together then add to the oats mixture and stir all of it together.

Spread onto cookie sheet and let cook one hour at 300 degrees. Stir half way through.

Add dried fruit – raisins, etc after done cooking. You can also add in more seeds/nuts to your liking (walnuts, pecans, sesame seeds, etc).
I eat with almond milk, bananas and strawberries.

Green Chocolate Smoothie

OK, this is going to sound gross, but honestly, it is the BEST smoothie I have ever had.

1 cup water
1 small frozen banana
3/4 cup frozen blueberries
5-8 oz of spinach
1 TB 100% maple syrup
1 TB raw cacao powder

Blend it up and drink right away. No joke – this is SO good.
